Biography

I was born in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. Our small population has provided the world with wonderful composers, musicians and singers throughout time.

I´ve spent half of my life on the beautiful Mediterranean side of Spain, the land where I started singing Zarzuela, and later on, Opera. I studied at the Mozarteum University for seven wonderful years, obtaining there both my Bachelor and my Master degree in Lied and Oratorio. I was awarded the Lilli-Lehmann-Medaille distinction at the end of my studies, something I’m highly proud of. Among the many teachers I’m immensely grateful for their wisdom and help, I should name my singing teacher Prof. Mario Diaz and the Lied specialist Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen.
Over the last decade I’ve taken place in several Opera performances around Europe, as well as in concerts of Lied and Oratorio. I’ve had the pleasure to work with great, highly inspiring figures of the theatrical sphere such as Pier Giorgio Morandi, Lorenzo Viotti, Daniele Gatti, Simone Young, Alex Ollé or Leo Nucci, to name a few.
The more I discover about this job, the more beauty I find in it.
